Slumdog Millionaire & A Separation

Films are significant mainstay for producers. In order to earn much money, producers should shoot their films flawlessly because breathtaking films are usually praised. In today’S society, there are not any people who have never watched a film. Everybody says his/her favorite film when it is asked. The two films which affected me when I watched are Slumdog Millionaire and A Separation. Even though there are similarities between these films, there are also some differences between them.

The first similarity between Slumdog Millionaire and A Separation is that both films were nominated for Oscar Film Awards and gained awards. In addition to being awarded with Oscar, both prestigious films’ fame are known all over the world. The last similarity between these films is that their durations are equal. In other words both films last for about one hundred twenty minutes.

Apart from the similarities, there are also some distinctions between Slumdog Millionaire and A Separation. The first difference between Slumdog Millionaire and A Separation is that while Slumdog Millionaire has gotten 8.8 points from The Internet Movie Database, A Separation has gotten 5.8 points.  The second difference between these two films is that drama is main theme in A Separation whereas drama is a supporting theme in Slumdog Millionnaire which contains also romance and spying. The last distinction is that Slumdog Millionaire is an American film. On the other hand, A separation is an Iranian film.

All things considered, both films are very good films and they are worth being watched. Their perfections are proved with the Oscar Awards. I strongly recommend everyone to watch these films. While watching them, captivation of these films impress the watchers.

Types of Teachers

Working with students can be sometimes exahusted but teachers play a significant role in their students’ lifes. Every adult remembers at least one of his/her teachers because students spend most of their times with their teachers in school and they share lots of things with one another. For this reason, the effect of teacher on the students is an undeniable fact. Evey teacher cannot leave the same  impression on the students because every teacher shares different characteristic. Lenient teacher, strict teacher and friendly teacher are among the most known teacher types.

One of the types of teachers is lenient teacher. This type of teachers do not mind so much anything. Being quite in the class is not important for them and also doing homework on time is not a must for their students. In addition to this, this kinds of teachers do not mind whether students copy with each other or not in the exam. The students of this type of teachers are relax in their class. The students chat with wach other during the lesson and this kind of teacher do not take attendence into considiration.

Another types of teacher is strict teacher. In contrast to lenient teachers, this type of teachers are very tough on students. They are adhere to deadlines. For example, if the due day passes, they do not accept the homework. This kind of teachers hate mistakes or carelessness. Due to the fact that students should be extra cautious in the classroom. Moreover, they are disciplined teachers, for this reason, they always keep their students on their toes.

The last commonly known teacher type is friendly teacher. Friendly teachers become more closer to their students than the other types of teachers. Friendly teachers make their students feel as if they were at home and this provides students to be relax. They are also sympathic, therefore, they listen their students private problems and try to find solutions to them.

All things consideres, every teacher does not share the same characteristic. All teachers have a different place in the eyes of students. Being special for students are in teacher’s power. In my opinion, a teacher should not be so lenient. Every one has different tastes. However, I believe that being both friendly and not so much strict are the best characteristic features of a teacher.

European Union

The European Union is an economic and political union. Although it has 27 member states now, it was first formed with 6 countries. After World War II, different unions were established such as European Coal and Steal Community, European Atomic Energy Community and European Economic Community. Then these communities were united as European Community. After a while European Community’s name was changed as Eurepean Union. However, what was the purpose of the participant countries’ aim for establishing this union? There are indeed main causes of forming this union such as reverting back their old economic situations after the World War II and combining their powers.

In the Europe two important wars took place between 1908 and 1945. In these wars both European countries and the other countries were affected in terms of economy. Economic crises took place in these countries during these years and due to the fact that they decided to form a union to remove the effects of the wars in a veloce way. Thus, they did not have to pay taxes for the products that they imported and exported and this situation faciliated their reconstructions.

The second cause of establishing the European Union is being more powerful. In other words, the European countries wanted to advance not only in economoy but also in politic and social life. Today, America is dominant in the world and The European Union stand against the America. Because of the power of America, the European countries wanted to get rid of the pressure of America and wanted not only created their wealthes and capitals but also improved them.

After looking at two main causes of establishing the European Union namely, the desire of Eurpeon countries to revert back to their old economies and combining their powers, now let’s look at its two main effects which are benefiting from education and traveling without visas.

The first effect of the European Union on its participants is education. Erasmus Programme became valid in 1987 and since then 1.5 million students have benefited from it. Thanks to that programme, so many students can go other European countries for education without any restriction. They can improve themselves in terms of language. In addition to this, students can also make use of the facilities that the country presents to develop themselves.

The second effect is traveling without visas. The European countries’ citizens can travel through Europe without any restriction. They can also experience new cultures and expand their knowledge by doing sightseeings. Thus, people can improve themselves by traveling. They can also interact with the natives of the country that they go.

To sum up, after looking at these causes and effects, it is obvious that advantages of being in European Union is an undeniable fact. We can think the Europe as a country and the European countries as cities because the Eurepean countries are under the same roof. Being in a union facilitates people’s life styles in terms of both education and traveling. I believe that everybody wants to live in a country which belongs to a union.
